Yarrow guide

Reflection, not prediction.

Yarrow is designed around a simple boundary: the I Ching can help you think more clearly, but it should not pretend to remove your responsibility.

Why not prediction?

Prediction turns a reading into an answer machine. It encourages passivity, repeated casting, and vague certainty. Reflection does something different: it gives you a way to inspect the question and decide what deserves attention.

One questionNarrow the situation before asking for a reading.
One castA single source path is easier to inspect than an answer feed.
Visible sourcesHexagram, moving lines, changed hexagram, and Yilin note stay attached to the reading.
Private journalThe reflection belongs to you and stays on your device.

The useful result is not certainty. It is the next clear sentence you can test in life.

Where AI belongs

In Yarrow, AI is optional. The local knowledge base and journal remain useful without it. When you choose AI, it should weave your question with the source material rather than replacing the source path.

What this means for privacy

Yarrow keeps the local reference catalog and journal on your device. Casting and lookup work offline. Network access is only needed for app store links, web pages, Telegram, or optional AI reading.

Use Yarrow when you want a quiet reading that helps you reflect without turning uncertainty into a promise.
