Reference translation

Possession in Great Measure: supreme success. The Commentary on the Judgment says: In Possession in Great Measure, the yielding line attains the honored place, central and great, and those above and below respond to it. Therefore it is called Possession in Great Measure. Its character is firm and strong, refined and bright. It accords with Heaven and moves with the time. Thus it is supremely successful. The Commentary on the Image says: Fire above Heaven: the image of Possession in Great Measure. Thus the superior man curbs evil and furthers good, obeying the benevolent will of Heaven.

Context from the authority layer

The fire in the heavens is the sun, who brings light to this world and also brings life. Li is fundamentally a yin trigram and carries the image of the feminine. In Da You, a yin line occupies the honored position and receives the response of all the yang lines above and below. The sage perceives that the brilliant radiance of the sun can nurture the growth of all things and can also drive out what is decayed and corrupt. Therefore, by "restraining evil and promoting good, conforming to Heaven and resting in its mandate," he governs all under Heaven.

Common misread to avoid

Do not turn Great Possession into a personality label, a guaranteed event, or a verdict about another person. The translation and trigram frame are source layers to examine, not an instruction to surrender judgment.
