9 · Xiao Xu · Small Taming
The Small Taming: success. Dense clouds, no rain, rising from our western outskirts. The Tuan says: In Small Taming, the yielding line attains its place, and those above and below respond to it; hence it is called Small Taming. Strong and yet pliant, firm in the center and its will prevails — therefore success. "Dense clouds, no rain" — the movement is still upward. "From our western outskirts" — the dispensing is not yet accomplished.

16 · Yu · Enthusiasm
YU, Enthusiasm: it is favorable to install feudal lords and to set armies marching. The Tuan says: In Yu, the firm finds response, and its will is carried out; there is movement in accord with devotion — this is Yu. Because Yu moves in accord with devotion, even heaven and earth follow it; how much more, then, the installing of princes and the marching of armies! Heaven and earth move with devotion, and thus sun and moon do not stray, and the four seasons do not err.
The Erya states: "Yu means peace and joy." The Book of Songs, Xiaoya, Baiju says: "You dukes and you lords, your ease and joy know no end." Yu thus means joy.
